There’s something extra special about finding the top of an old glass bottle. Each one has already had a whole life before the tide got hold of it, tumbling it through the rocks and sand until it eventually landed in my hands.
This frame is filled with sea glass bottle tops I’ve personally collected along the coast of Friendship, Maine. I love all the different shapes, ridges, thicknesses and colors. No two are quite alike, and some still carry little hints of the bottles they once belonged to.
Instead of letting them sit tucked away in a jar, I gathered them together into one piece where all those weathered edges and tiny bits of history could be seen.
Resin holds all the pieces securely in place.
